PULSAR B0329 +54

Andrea and I have decided to try the reception of a pulsar star's signal on the frequency of EME band , 1296MHz.
Andrea's theoretical calculations have showed that it was possible even if at the limit of the system. We chose the B0329+54 Pulsar.
The pulsar's signal is extremely weak so it is very hard for an amateur station to receive. Reception of the signal isn't listening to the sound , but instead getting a graphic where we can see the pulse shape rising out of the noise.
The pulsar signal is subject to the effects of the ISM and so varies in strength with time. The signal also has to battle with local interference (QRM).

Receiving System

4 meter mesh dish, IK5VLS.
Elevation/azimuth tracking software : F1EHN
